Dear Friends, Back around Christmas Christy called and asked if I would baptize her daughter Neely.  “I would love to” I answered.   What a wonderful way to start 2008!

 

Neely is a nine year old little girl that has been riding our bus since she was three. Sybil invited her and her sister Lexi to ride the bus and they have been coming since then.  As we visited them about Neely’s baptism it opened the door for us to talk with her mother’s boyfriend.

 

They were both able to come to the service and I shared the Gospel again with him. The seed has been planted.  Please  pray for John that he would see the light through these 2 little girls. This event makes us look forward to the days of seeing Kenyans coming to Christ and seeking baptism.We are off and running as we pick up the pace on deputation following the winter break.

 

Our calendar is filling up for 2008.  We still have a few gaps but the meetings far out way the gaps. We look forward to seeing some of you and making more friends this year as we continue to prepare for life in AFRICA.  Join us as we praise the Lord for those new partners this month.  

 

New ministry partners in January include  Lawrence Baptist Temple, Lawrence Kansas, Pastor Gary Myer (Jim’s Uncle); Ambassador Baptist Church Wadsworth OH, Pastor Mike Decker; Westside Baptist Church Emporia Kansas, Pastor Ken Armstrong.

Prayer Requests:  Pray for the safety of Kenyan pastor’s in the midst of the violence in Kenya.  Pray that the necessary support would come in as we continue our journey to Reach Kenya for Christ. Our goal is to reach the field is June 09.  Pray that Christ would be lifted up in all we do!  Would you take 15 seconds to pray for us as you read this letter?
